Day 71: Plyometrics
You would think after 10 weeks and 70 days of doing this that it would start to get easy… WRONG! Plyometrics still feels are hard today as it was on day 2… Okay, that’s a lie… Now I can get through it without wondering if I’m really, truly going to die, but it’s still TOUGH.
And I think that’s my favorite part of P90x. You do the same series of videos multiple times, but each time you go deeper in your lunges, more reps or higher weights, & longer more fluid movements.
In essence, each time I get better, which allows me to do more, harder, and more intense. I’d have to get in pretty damn good shape to “max out’ of this program. And then there’s always INSANITY or P90x+ to add in if it ever happens to get boring.
I will admit that after 10 weeks, it’s definitely getting hard to maintain the drive that I had the first month. There are going to be days and maybe even weeks over the next 48 weeks where I’m going to have to grind it out, but the key is to jump back on the horse if you fall off and keep on riding.

Kyle! I just stumbled across this on Facebook, and I’m not sure how much it will mean to you but I wanted to tell you: I am so proud of you!!! I thought I was in pretty good shape when I started P90X last year and it kicked my ass! People don’t realize exactly how hard this program is until they do it. Congratulations on making the decision to change your life. Keep up the good work!

Kyle – Keep going bro. You’ve nailed it. There are days when you just don’t want to be there. Do your best and forget the rest comes to mind. Tony had another saying from camp this weekend: “Forget your best and do the work”. That’s may be a better one on those days. Just give it what you’ve got and move on to the next day. Some days you’ll show up FIRED UP. When you do give it all you’ve got. The journey is the reward my friend. Keep going!
