4 Hour Body Journal – Day 9

Kind of a hectic day.  But here goes…

Breakfast
turkey wrap-up (turkey & cheese)… I was in a hurry

Lunch
Grilled Chicken Salad

Dinner
Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Chicken w/Black Bean sauce from PF Changs (Skipped the rice all together)

Snack
Sugar-Free Jello
Green Tea from Starbucks (unsweetened, of course)

4 Hour Body Snack: Marinated Veggies

Since Tim doesn’t get to much into actual meal/snack preparation in The Four Hour Body, I’ve tried to come up with some healthy, easy snacks and quick meals.

Marinated Veggies
Cut up some Broccoli, Cauliflower, Bell Peppers, Cucumbers, Mushrooms, Squash, Tomatoes, & Onions into bite sized pieces.  Feel free to use any veggies.

My personal favs:  Broccoli, Cauliflower, Tomatoes, Cucumbers

Make the Marinade
3/4 Cup Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Mustard
Optional: Cilantro or Favorite Spice
Salt and Pepper to taste

Shake it all together in a jar or whisk in a bowl. That’s all there is to it.

Throw the veggies in the marinade and let it sit in the fridge overnight covered.  The veggies will soak it all up and they are great to eat raw.  I usually make this about once a week and eat on it for 3-4 days.

4 Hour Body Journal – Day 8

Weigh-in day!  Down 16.1 lbs the first week… Pretty stoked!

Biggest Loser – My 4 Hour Body Weigh-in

So today is Monday… aka WEIGH-IN DAY!  I’ve done a lot of diets.  A lot.  I’ve lost a lot of weight doing them, up to 83 lbs on my best effort.

Starting Weight: 414.7
Today’s Weight: 398.6

Total: 16.1 lbs
% Weight Loss:  3.9%

This is by far the most I’ve ever lost in 7 days. When I lost 83 lbs on weight watchers was 7.5.  My second week I lost 3.4… So it took me 3 full weeks to lose what I did today.

I’m under 400lbs.  And just had my cheat day on Saturday.  Now I realize it won’t be this much all the time… Not even by a long shot.  But for at least one week, I put up a Biggest Loser type number.  Before I go crazy on goals, I want to do it a couple more weeks, but my initial (hefty) goal of 30 lbs in January just looks like it got a lot more manageable.

4 hour body cheat day results

Binge day at it's best! Donought + AGG + Coffee = Weightloss!

So yesterday was the first binge/cheat day on the slow carb diet. I don’t feel like I went overboard, but ate what I wanted. Check my previous post to see the damage.

Here’s what I learned.. Cheat day wasn’t as fun as I expected. Honestly, I had a bit of a stomach ache all day. I was ready to get back to healthy choices after 2.5 pastries. Yet, at least today on the scale it didn’t hurt. Still lost weight. Down 1.2 lbs today and for the 6 days I’m Dow 13.9 and only .9 lbs away from under 400. I’d love to lose 15 lbs the first week and I’m super close!

One week isn’t a huge sample, but have to say this is my best week of weightloss ever, with a full day to go. My next big  goal is seeing the difference in clothes and droppin that magical size or 2. Then people start noticing, all in all, I’m very pumped and looking forward to another awesome week!
